Halloween Special

Hello!

It’s almost Halloween and I thought I’d share with you some recently commissioned Halloweeny themed work  :D

Featured are a few pages from the lovely new Tribe Family Magazine (check out their website here http://tribemag.co.uk/). I was asked to illustrate the spot illustrations for the Wild Tribe children’s pages full of fun, facts and interactivity.

Elephant

Hello!

I’ve had a busy couple of weeks since finishing uni! I've...

·        I took part in New Designers, London. This was fantastic! Was a great opportunity to showcase my work, meet some lovely new people and catch up with old friends who were also participating in the show.

·        Served on jury service! This was an interesting week....don’t want to be having to do this again anytime soon though!

·        Had a long weekend in Centre Parcs J Was a very active weekend full of cycling, swimming, canoeing and golfing. Lovely to be out in the hot weather we’ve been having though!

... so thought I’d do a post just to let you know I’m still alive J I’ve upgraded my little elephant to be running through a field of flowers....thought he looked a little lonely on a white background.

New York Highlights!

New York was amazing as ever. Highlights were definitely seeing Mamma Mia on Broadway, going up the Empire State Building, wondering around Central Park, Grand Central Station and Ground Zero. The 26oC was also very nice!

Portfolio

As part of my University course, third years get the opportunity to travel New York to show our portfolios to art directors and agencies to get feedback on our work. As stressful as it was making sure my portfolio was together in time for the trip, the helpful feedback and positivity received on my work was greatly received! The lovely people I met from Penguin Young Readers, Painted Words, Holiday House, Herman Agency, Sterling and Clarion Books were incredibly welcoming and all gave me helpful tips to improve my work.

A selection of photos of my tear sheets, business cards and portfolio.

Coral Reef Mermaid ebook page

First finished page of my mermaid e-book/app :D. woo!! Its about a mermaid who needs to find some colourful shells to finish decorating an arts&craft present. The idea is that you would then tap and move objects about to find the shell on the page

Created by cutting out shapes, collarging them together, editing in photoshop and animating in Moglue. Am loving making things move...when it works its totally like a eureka moment!
